My Story
My name is Azita Javadi. I am married and a mother of two children – and of course they were both breastfed! My passion for maternity care started as a midwife, but I soon noticed that mothers sometimes struggled with breastfeeding during the postpartum period. I wanted to be able to support them better, but felt that my knowledge was not always sufficient. That is why I followed the training to become a lactation consultant at Baby & Borst in Almere in 2012.
Since then I have combined my work as a midwife with my role as a lactation consultant IBCLC at the BovenIJ Hospital. Here I guide mothers in the maternity ward who encounter challenges in breastfeeding. I do this work with great pleasure and dedication.
In addition to my work in the hospital, I am also active as an independent lactation consultant IBCLC. This allows me to provide personal and customized guidance to mothers, exactly where they need it. Would you like to know more about the consultation options? Feel free to take a look at the consultations.
What does IBCLC mean? Lactation consultants with the title IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) are highly trained breastfeeding specialists. The training is provided by Baby & Borst in Almere and concludes with an international exam. Only those who successfully complete this exam may use the title IBCLC. This guarantees that you will receive expert and professional guidance during your breastfeeding journey.
